The Peabody Trust was founded in 1862 by an American merchant banker, George Peabody, to provide housing and support to various charitable schemes for people in need in London. Today the Trust is registered with the Housing Corporation and is a member of the National Housing Federation, as well as being a registered charity. With nearly 150 years’ experience of providing homes and delivering a broad remit to tackle poverty in London, the Peabody Trust is well placed to support thriving communities by providing excellent homes, top class services and innovative community regeneration projects that make a difference to individual lives and to neighbourhoods.
The Trust identified weaknesses in some of its business processes which, if rectified, could streamline the organisation and make it more cost effective. Finding someone who had the expertise to advise and guide the Trust in the implementation of strategic business practices proved difficult however, as many of the third parties it approached could not offer appropriate levels of experience.

Not only did Continuity introduce the relevant outlines of PRINCE2 management processes to the Trust, it also mentored staff in how to put those processes in place, whilst simultaneously researching particular areas of the business and identifying where improvements should be made.
